Over 60 speakers from countries including Russia, China, India and Chile will descend on Dublin in March for a major sexualities conference.
The third biannual Irish Sexuality Studies conference, entitled ‘Self, Selves and Sexualities’, will take place at DCU for three days from March 13.
The conference will welcome speakers from Ireland, Northern Ireland, France, Canada, Quebec, USA, Mexico, Spain, Chile, Algeria, India, Russia, Poland, Latvia, Germany, UK, Taiwan, China, Philippines, South Africa, and Germany, and the focus is on all sexualities: heterosexuality, homosexuality, transgenderism, asexuality and bisexuality.
Speakers will include Brian Sheehan, Director of GLEN, and there will be workshops from Marriage Equality and BeLonG To.
A special highlight of the conference will be a dicscussion with playwright, Marina Carr, who is DCU’s current writer in residence.
