Google has rebranded itself ahead of the opening ceremony of the Winter Olympics, held in the Russian city of Sochi.
The Google homepage now features this ‘Google Doodle’:-
The text underneath the restyled version of the Google logo reads:
“‘The practice of sport is a human right. Every individual must have the
possibility of practicing sport, without discrimination of any kind and
in the Olympic spirit, which requires mutual understanding with a
spirit of friendship, solidarity and fair play’ –Olympic Charter”
The Google logo on search pages now looks like this:-
Every year, Google celebrates LGBT pride with a rainbow theme on gay related searches and has commemorated the gay war hero Alan Turing, who was last year pardoned by the Queen for his prosecution for homosexual activity.
